Professional Qualifications
Initially, I trained at the University of Kent, in the Psychodynamic school of thought. I then achieved a Level 4 Diploma in Integrated Counselling Theory and Practice.
I have been an Accredited Member of the BACP for many years and have completed my Teacher Training with Canterbury Christchurch University as I was training others to become therapists.
I have completed my training as an EMDR Therapist about six years ago, and in recent years achieved the level of an Accredited Member of the EMDR Association UK & Ireland.
Last year I achieved the Level 1 EMDR Europe Child Accredited Core Training
I have also attained a Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Supervision and offer supervision to trainee & qualified counsellors.
I have extensive experience of providing a short and long term service, working in both educational and charitable organisations.
This comprehensive training enables me to be creative, sometimes bringing in a variety of mediums and art materials, along with Cognitive Behaviour Techniques to enhance my clients journey.
